About the Project

Imagine walking into a bustling music festival, a conference, a party the air alive with excitement and possibility. Amidst the crowd, you catch glimpses of faces, brief smiles exchanged, but these fleeting moments often fade away. What if there was a way to turn these brief encounters into lasting connections?

Enter Radar Chat, the mobile networking app that leverages proximity to connect you with people nearby, transforming spontaneous interactions into ongoing digital conversations.

Radar chat is a mobile networking app that leverages proximity to connect people who are close to or share the same location.

It serves the purpose of facilitating real-time, proximity-based messaging and connection between users who are physically close to each other enabling spontaneous and engaging digital conversations in various social and professional settings.

Identifying the problem

Our story begins with the common issue of missed connections. Picture Sara, an event planner, who often meets interesting people at the events she organizes but struggles to keep in touch.

Then there's Michael, a software developer, who wants to network but finds it difficult to start conversations in person. Finally, Emily, a teacher, yearns for spontaneous encounters that could lead to meaningful relationships but finds the traditional online dating scene lacking in excitement.

Proximity- based Scanning

The heart of Radar Chat is the Radar Scan feature. Imagine Jack at a crowded event; with a simple tap, he can see profiles of people around him, turning a large, impersonal crowd into a potential network of connections.

Connection Requests

Jack can send and receive chat requests, making it easy to initiate conversations without the awkwardness of face-to-face rejections.

Real-time messaging

Once a connection is made, users can chat in real-time, just like Jack did. This instant interaction helps maintain the momentum of spontaneous connections.

Customisable Profile

Users like Jack can also create and personalize their profiles, showcasing their interests and personalities. This helps to further break the ice and foster genuine conversations.
